This Thanksgiving, our family decided to break away from tradition and traded the cozy dining room for the great outdoors. Packed with enthusiasm, kids in tow, and our furry friend by our side, we embarked on a one-night camping adventure. Join me as I recount the magical night spent under the stars, filled with laughter, warmth, and a touch of outdoor adventure.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we eagerly awaited everyone's escape from work. To kick off our unconventional holiday celebration, we met up at our local brewery for some pre-camping festivities. Good times ensued over pizza, setting the stage for an evening of camaraderie.

Our destination? A slice of paradise on my boyfriend's brother's and his wife's property. Their meticulous planning created an awe-inspiring camping space that left us in absolute awe. The backdrop was set for an unforgettable Thanksgiving night, with nature as our canvas.
As the temperature dropped to a crisp 40 degrees, we geared up for a night under the stars. My boyfriend opted for the swaying comfort of a hammock, while the kids, our trusty dog, and I found shelter in a pop-up tent. Note to fellow night travelers: invest in a pop-up tent – it's a game-changer!

Around the crackling campfire, we found solace in great conversations, the sweet strumming of guitars, and our favorite tunes filling the night air. S'mores became our campfire delicacy, melting into gooey perfection as we relished in the warmth of the fire and each other's company.
As dawn broke, a chill filled the air, motivating the kids to gather twigs and pine needles for the morning fire. Teamwork took center stage as the guys fetched more wood from their stockpile, and us girls worked on coaxing the flames to life. A well-deserved donut run, and freshly brewed coffee provided the perfect morning fuel.
With our campsite alive and buzzing, we reluctantly packed up our haven under the trees. As we exchanged laughter and fond farewells, we made our way to the family Thanksgiving dinner, hearts full and spirits high, carrying with us the memories of a night spent in nature's embrace.
Our Thanksgiving camping adventure was a refreshing departure from the traditional feast. It was a night filled with shared stories, laughter, and the simple pleasures of the outdoors. As we joined our larger family gathering for Thanksgiving dinner, we carried the warmth of the campfire, the taste of s'mores, and the joy of a night spent under the stars.
It was a Thanksgiving to remember – an adventure that blended the comforts of family with the rugged beauty of nature. It's All Part of the Adventure! Liana
